Sydney Met is committed to ensuring that any research conducted by Sydney Met staff has appropriate ethical review and oversight. To do this, our Research and Scholarship Committee chaired by the Executive Dean convenes a Research Ethics sub-committee to ensure that all research involving human participants that Sydney Met academic staff are involved with either:

The Research Ethics sub-committee maintains a register of ethics approvals in relation to staff research and scholarship activities.

Sydney Met campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation who are the traditional owners of the lands where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We extend that respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples from overseas presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
