The Governing Council is the peak governing body of Sydney Met, reporting to the BoD through its Chair. It sets the directions for, monitors and is accountable for all operations of Sydney Met. The GC may form committees as and when required. The primary responsibilities of GC and its powers and functions are outlined in the GC Charter below. It may constitute committees to organise and deliver its functions. The GC has established an Academic Board (AB) to which it delegates responsibility and powers for academic matters. The GC has also appointed a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President as the executive head of the Executive Management.
