The Sydney Met teaching philosophy is underpinned by the principles of quality, academic integrity, equity, accountability, and impact, in the context of inter-cultural learning, and by a commitment to student-centred learning and teaching to equip students for critical and independent thinking to support lifelong learning.
The Sydney Met Teaching and Learning Plan 2022-2024 sets out four goals, each associated with strategies to achieve the goals. Progress against the Teaching and Learning Plan 2022-2024 is reported to each meeting of the Sydney Met Academic Board. The Teaching and Learning Plan 2025-2027 is in development and will be available soon.

Sydney Met campus is located on the unceded territory of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation who are the traditional owners of the lands where the campus is situated. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We extend that respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples from overseas presently studying, working, or contributing to Sydney Met.
